When Glasses Direct do things we do things differently! Here’s recent press coverage of the valentines promotion from The Weston Mercury.

Glasses Direct customers from Weston Super Mare have been treated to a meal from an award-winning TV chef. On Saturday, Mike and Jennie Martin tucked into a five-course feast cooked for them by Steve Walpole. The young chef has appeared TV regularly including BBC’s Saturday Kitchen and a 10-part series for Discovery Health called Kids Fit Squad.

Mr and Mrs Martin won the experience after Mike entered a competition run by Glasses Direct to celebrate Valentine’s Day the Glasses Direct way. The competition which was open to all Glasses Direct customers saw one lucky customer winning a meal prepared by a celebrity chef …Yummy, while 15 more customers walked away with a new pair of prescription glasses.

Winner Jennie, said: “I was very excited when we found out we had won the competition. “I made sure I washed all my pans just in case Steve wanted to use any of my kitchen equipment.” The meal was made up of soup, a crayfish dish, a beef dish, a chocolate desert, cheese and biscuits and finally coffee.
