Merchandiser
Role: Merchandiser

The role:
We are looking for a Merchandiser to bolster our buying function. With an increasing number of frames and designs, we see having merchandising expertise as crucial. This would be an excellent opportuntiy for someone who has ambitions to make a real difference.
Key responsibilities:
- Business planning – develop and deliver (in conjunction with buyer) a buying and merchandising strategy
- range plan and buying and merchandising calendar across the business.
- Manage the business frame stock (potentially serving multiple brands) by controlling levels of new
- obsolete and continuity stock within pre agreed business limits.
- In conjunction with the Buyer and the Admin team
- manage the supply base to maximize intake margin while reducing lead times.
- To define and create a WSSI planning tool and use this to measure and report on all key merchandising KPI’s.
Requirements and qualifications:
- You will be a confident on-the-ball merchandiser.
- You may have a degree.
- You will be self-motivated and be able to work alone or collaboratively.
- You will be able to “hold your own” communicating at all levels.
- You will have expert excel skills and be highly numerate.
- You will be very organized.
Graphic Web Designer
Role: Graphic Web Designer

The role:
Glasses direct is seeking an experienced web designer to be the creative key to their marketing activity and to provide an important design link between the Marketing and Technology areas of the business.
Based in the Marketing team, you’ll be responsible for providing creative inspiration and support for multi-channel marketing campaigns, including the web, email and print. You will also be responsible in ensuring that there is a robust link in place between marketing activity and software practices used by the technology team, allowing you to be able develop marketing material for the Glasses Direct website without needing significant ongoing support from the Technology team.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and produce customer engaging creative to support multi-channel marketing campaigns (email online print)
- Push out marketing campaigns across the website using internal CMS tool
- Suggest and implement improvements to the look and feel of the company brand and website
- Become a key owner of the business Content Management System for managing website campaign activity
- Work with marketing team to increase response rates from marketing activity through creative and design testing on campaigns

Requirements and qualifications:
- Strong background in producing multi channel marketing material
- Ability to come up with creative ideas from scratch
- CSS/XHTML/Javascript knowledge useful
- Graphic Design skill/flair
- Ability to create website landing pages for marketing campaigns
- Experience working in web-application development
- Interest in product/UI design and building great user interfaces
- Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical employees
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
Navision Expert
Role: Navision Expert
Location: Swindon

The role:
We are looking for a Navision Expert who is willing and capable of finding solutions to our Navision issues and also be able to design and develop solutions. In particular we are looking for someone able to provide operational support to our Warehouse and Finance teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop great understanding of how Navision is used within Glasses Direct and to work within the technology team and with the rest of the business to enhance and improve our Navision application

Build relationships with users of the system understand their requirements and ensure that Navision is used to maximum efficiency developing new features as necessary
- Maintain strong links and communication with the rest of the development team to ensure work in Navision integrates smoothly with rest of system
- Actively Train and create training materials for a wide variety of users across the organisation ranging from Finance Warehouse management and order fulfilment
- Have the ability to work in an exciting fast-paced environment and to help provide operational support to the teams in both the London and Swindon offices.
Requirements and qualifications:
- You need to have a few years experience of working with Navision
- You should be used to working with other developers / QA
- Familiarity with Agile development process would be advantageous
- You should be used to working with Navision as part of a system rather than the entire system
- Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical employees
- Ability to think on your feet and to provide clear guidance and advice to other users
