Transitions® lenses will fit almost every frame. However, Transitions® Drivewear® is not available with rimless or semi-rimless frames.

Yes. Transitions® lenses are suitable for a variety of vision types, which includes single vision, varifocals and non-prescription. The only vision type they will not combine with is bifocals.
Transitions® GEN S™ are completely clear indoors. Meanwhile, Transitions® XTRActive® lenses have a slight tint which is fairly unnoticeable. On the other hand, Transitions® Drivewear® lenses are an olive-green colour by default and darken behind the car windscreen.
We have a range of Transitions® lenses. They are all capable of being as dark as standard sunglasses, otherwise known as category 3. Transitions® lenses provide 100% UVA/B protection.
Transitions® GEN S™ are designed for general use and are not really suitable for driving. However, both Transitions® XTRActive® and Transitions® Drivewear® can be used behind the windshield of a car. Transitions® XTRActive® is best suited to everyday wear and is also safe to drive at night with.
Meanwhile, Transitions® Drivewear® lenses are specifically designed to ensure you drive safely on the road. They adapt seamlessly to changing light from low light in overcast conditions, to the brightest sunlight for an improved driving experience. Transitions® Drivewear® lenses are not suitable for night-time driving.
The process behind photochromic technology means the photochromic dyes are part of the lens and so cannot be scratched or peeled off. Transitions® lenses are designed to last the lifetime of your prescription. The best way to care for your Transitions® lenses is to clean them with a lens cleaner, mild soap, or a microfibre cleaning cloth.
