If you’re new to Glasses Direct or ordering glasses online in general, let us walk you through the simple steps. In just a few clicks, you could have a brand new pair of stylish, flattering frames.

When you’re done all you need to do is pack the frames back in the box they came in then pop it in your nearest post box, or return it at the post office.

3. On the next page you pick your Lens Package. With a selection of options to suit your budget and needs, our great value lens packages offer the benefits of coatings such as anti-reflection, anti-UV and more. Alternately, you can continue with free single vision basic lenses at no extra cost.
Finally, enter your prescription. You can either choose to: send your prescription later via phone, email or photo; enter a new prescription; or (if you’ve shopped with us before) use a prescription saved to your account.
If you have any promotion codes, don’t forget to enter them before your complete your purchase.
The majority of orders are shipped within 7 days* from the date the order is placed, although more complex orders will take longer – usually within 14 days of being authorised by our opticians. When your order is dispatched from our warehouse, you will receive a confirmation email. You can find out more information here.

Yes, of course. If for any reason you are unhappy with your order then you can return your glasses free of charge – prescription or not! The process is quick and easy, and you can return your whole order within 90 days of the original dispatch date, both frames and lenses. This also includes bifocals and varifocals. We kindly ask that all glasses are returned in their original condition and with all accessories included. Learn more about the steps here.
We sometimes get asked this - and it's a fair question considering the number of less-serious eyewear retailers who don’t adhere to UK optical guidance for ensuring peoples’ eye health. But we can assure you that, yes, we are 100% legit. All of our opticians, and we as a business, take steps to ensure we adhere to GOC standards. We have also provided the GOC with a copy of our Supervision Statement which sets out how our opticians oversee every order. As well as this, all our Dispensing Opticians are registered with the General Optical Council (GOC) and the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).
