Needed new prescription and only had one pair of glasses so couldn't send them off to have lenses replaced. Saw these frames and as I wanted same/similar style of frame to my previous pair (Bordeaux on Transparent - Butterfly, also from Glasses Direct) these were the closest to them. I didn't want a dark frame as have a fair complexion. I did do the 'try on' on screen and these seemed to fit the bill. The frame is slightly that bit bigger and go slightly upwards (not pointed) at the top outer corners (my hubby made a comment that I looked like a wise owl!). Will take me a little time to get use to the new shape as I love my Bordeaux coloured frames, but am sure it won't take long. The colour, although lighter than my other pair, is a lovely shade of Violet and goes well with my short, spikey, purple hair! Would recommend, even for a women of, like me, an older age.
