Our refer-a-friend scheme is simple and lets you share with friends using your name. This means that you can simply tell your friends to come to Glasses Direct and enter your name, and they’ll be given a discount code. They can either enter it at the checkout by clicking on the link saying ‘Have you been referred by a friend?’ or by clicking here. You can also recommend us by link, email, or via Facebook or Twitter.
To be eligible to join the scheme, you must be an existing Glasses Direct customer and have bought glasses from us in the past.
We must be able to verify that your friend has their own prescription and email address. If we are unable to do so, we may request further information to verify this.
For your friend to receive £35 off their first order, it must include at least one frame priced £49+.
The £35 discount for family and friends is excluded from purchases of Premium Designer frames. However, ordering frames from our Premium range will make you eligible to sign up for the refer-a-friend scheme.
The £35 discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount code when ordering. Only one discount is allowed per order.
There is a limit of 5x£10 Amazon gift certificates per person per 24 hours, and a further maximum limit of 50 per twelve month period.
You can enter their name when you’re buying from us – there is a link just above the voucher code box at the checkout page saying ‘Been referred by a friend?’. Alternatively, you can click here.
If you click on any of these links, you will be able to access a discount code. You can then enter this code in the discount code box at the basket page as you’re buying.
This could be for several reasons. See below:
Your friend never registered for the refer-a-friend scheme.
You could be entering a nickname rather than the name they registered with.
There could be more than one person with that name signed up. If this is the case, you’ll need to follow instructions to enter their email address. If you don’t know their email address then please ask them for it and come back to us.
Your friend must place their order before you can receive your offer code. Once they have done so, your offer code will be sent to you via email. If you haven’t received your reward, please make sure to check your spam or junk folder first. If you’re aware your friend has ordered but you still haven’t received your referral offer/reward, please contact our customer service team who will be able to look into this for you.
When contacting our customer service team, please provide your own details as well as the name of the friend you referred.
